Sfanta-i vara, asa spunea draga mea bunica. De cand e plecata dintre noi, rememorez aminitiri cu atat drag, inteleg altfel vorbele ei de duh si dau un mai adanc inteles sfaturilor pe care mi le-a dat. Nu mi-a fost doar bunica, mi-a fost o mama adevarata, mi-a fost cea mai buna prietena, confidenta mea secreta, cufarul meu de sfaturi, invatatoarea mea cea mai sincera, cizelatoare a gusturilor ce le-am deprins, slefuitoare a asperitatilor mele. Imi e atat de dor de ea incat o visez mai tot timpul. Ce simlu imi spunea: Fata draga, toate la timpul lor, referindu-se la a nu mai conserva fructe si legume. Si cat adevar, ca pacalind simturile cu congelatele, uitam sa apreciem prospaturile. Revenind la prima vorba, da, sfanta-i vara, pe care o astept de trei anotimpuri, pe care o venerez si pe care as trai-o la nesfarsit. Cu minunatele ei bogatii de fructe si legune, cu explozia de culori si arome din piete, zapacindu-ma incotro s-o apuc, de la cine sa cumpar mai abitir. Printre minunatele legume ce-si fac loc cu insistenta prin sacosele mele se numara si dovleceii, iar anul acesta am incercat o noua reteta, SUFLEU DE DOVLECEI CU CASCAVAL, pe care haita mea a apreciat-o din prima. Draga mea bunica mi-ar fi mangaiat crestetul cu blandete si m-ar fi sarutat pe frunte ca drept multumire pentru ce i-am gatit. Iar daca ei i-ar fi placut, va sigur, cu mana pe inima, ca asta era ca cea mai adevarat recunoastere. Sigur mi-ar fi cerut supliment. Ai mei o fac deja.

- 250 g de smantana fermentata de 20% grasime
- 200 g de cascaval ras
- 2 sau 3 catei de usturoi zdrobiti
- ceva ulei
- un strop de unt
- o tzara de malai
